CARING FOR YOUR NEW MANTEL

Your product is made from hand-selected western red cedar which has very low moisture content leading to a more stable product. Thanks to the in-depth process of hand scraping and sanding and the artistry to create a unique color, all you need to do is dust it periodically with a microfiber cloth. There is no need to apply oils, waxes, or other cleaning solutions which could change the appearance of your product.

Also, just as no two trees are exactly alike, no two products will be exactly the same and our handmade process means that your timber mantel is unique.

As your product ages, you may see a gentle patina develop. Also, as is the case with products from nature, you may also see checking, a natural process whereby cracks may occur on the surface due to drying and moisture in the atmosphere. Rest assured this is a natural aging process for wood and serves to add beauty and character to your unique product.

ORDERING YOUR MANTEL

All our mantles are hand-made and sized to your specifications with regard to length and attachment options.

When you place an order, we will send you images of our current stock in your chosen color.

Once you make your selection, we will send you an invoice for payment. Due to the high demand for our mantles, if we don’t receive final confirmation and payment within 10 days, we may have to cancel the order and restock that item.

When we receive the confirmed order and payment, we will finalize the size and attachment customizations and arrange for delivery. Since we cannot restock customized items, once you have paid for your mantle and it has been customized, we are unable to accept returns.
